Home Cinema Systems
Home cinema systems are designed to replicate sound that you would usualy find at your local Cinema. This would include a number of speakers designated around the users home.
The number of speakers used can range from 2 - 7. Here is an example of a home cinema system.
The above unit contains 5 satellite speakers an amplifier and a subwoofer. The way in which these are arranged is like so :

The above diagram shows the sofa in the middle of an arrangement of speakers. The reason for this is to surround the user with sound. This is why the are positioned in front and behind the user. This arrangement gives the user an enhanced viewing experience and superb sound. For more information regarding home cinema click here. For more information regarding surround sound click here.
If course not every room is perfectly square like the one shown above. In many cases the room has the television in the corner. This is overcome by having a surround sound system with an "Auto Calibration" microphone. Auto calibration is the optimal way to setup speakers in any situation.
Simply place the supplied microphone in your listening position, the microphone will measure speaker placement, distance and delays. This is all adjusted automatically to ensure its all setup correctly.
Sony and Panasonic supply excellent surround sound systems which include the calibration mic. We do stock a limited range and will be happy to demonstrate the operation of this equipment.
